I've owned a complete Beomaster 2000 system from new (bought int he mid 1980's). It comprises a main Beomaster 2000 tuner/receiver + Beocord 2000 tape deck + Beogram 2000 turntable - which all still plays flawlessly.

I am considering trying to add a compatible B & O CD player to the system and was wondering if anyone has advice as to which CD player models are compatible with my system?

Also, would it be better to run a CD player through the PH or TP1 inputs on the receiver - both of these are 7 pin ?

With thanks

Keith

Welcome to Beoworld!

On a BM2000 you must use the TP1.

Any Beogram cd can fit but the remote functions of most models will not work as the 2000 is to basic and remote less.

The one to recommend is the CDX which has RCA plugs so for TP1 you would need an adapter for it to fit but it would look and sound great together. The CDX is one of the first cd players and are remote less. Every function is done from the player. This would fit the 2000 great though you have to compromise with the TP1 and what you want plugged into it. Beocord or CD. Maybe both but that depends on the adapter.
