hi, i have beomaster 4500.

since i have left it unplugged for a long time now it says code.

i've managed to solve it with the courtesy of a friend who borrowed me her remote control.

since i don't want to bother again i would like to buy a remote control.

which models are compatible? i'd like to buy something which would work also with other products since i might buy something more from b&o in the future.

is it beo4 a good model?

thanks

BeoMaster 4500 will work with Beo4 and BeoLink 1000/5000*/7000*.

BeoSystem 4500 was born with the BeoLink 1000, so that will probably be the best choice, but the Beo4 will work fine as well though it may be a bit more difficult to program the BeoMaster - 'store' has to be accessed through 'list' if I recall correctly. But in daily use you won't notice any difference.

*Two-way communication will only work if your BM is equipped with the correct software.

If you want to 'buy something more' - depending on what you are going to buy - I would suggest that you go for a Beo4.

If you want to buy a BV, you'll need a Beo4 as remote anyway.

You could buy the Beo4 now, and you could later bargain a better price for the BV without the remote.

Note: if you go for a relatively new BV, you'll need the Beo4 with navi-stick (the newest) - that can be used to control the BM4500 as well.

On the other hand - if your intension is just buying the other components of the BS4500, you'll go fine with a BeoLink1000.

MM

There is a tv - and there is a BV
