Hi ,
Since a half year or so I have a pair of Beolab5's that I'm very pleased with.
I have been looking into the possibility of buying myself a second hand Beovision 9 or a beovision 4 with BS3.
Currently I have a squeezebox as my network music player, and so far it works ok.
The speakers are in option 1 and I control them with the beo4, so far so good.
The squeezebox outputs a digital spdif signal that I run directly to my beolabs without a problem.
Let say I get a BS3 and still want to run the music trough spdif directly to the beolab 5's , is the digital input on the speakers still going to be active and have priority 1 over the powerlink?
(I recall someone saying that in the case of the Bv7 there was the need to have a CD in to activate the digital input on the beolabs?)
If not? do I have the possibility to connect spdif to the bs3 and output via powerlink without having the TV(beovision 4 or 9) set on? as in is it possible to control the BS3 without having the TV on?
