I've adjusted the leaf springs on my 8002 so that the platter is level around the perimeter, but when I move the spirit/bubble level toward the center (but still where a record would be playing) it's no longer level. Any ideas why this might be?

Beogram 8002 platters are slightly funnel-shaped.
This, together with the radial streaks helps create a small vacuum under the record while rotating, eliminating
the need for record clamps etc.
