I recently acquired a Beocom 6000 MK1 handset that has the wall mount base. I thought it would be a simple add to my Beocom 6000 MK2 phone system, however it is not turning out to be simple. I have gone through all the resetting procedures 70009/70008 and i still get the message "NOT REGISTERED". How do I get the MK1 handset to recognize my MK2 base? Any help is greatly appreciated.
If you have the newer smaller PSTN for your existing system then I do not think that the BC6000 Mk 1 will connect to it. It is all explained here: http://www.beoworld.org/faq_view.asp?id=74
And welcome to Beoworld!
Thank you. I do not have the newer Base model. Mine is more square than rectangle. I went through the compatibility review and the picture of the newer base model shown does not match what I have.
If you have the pyramid master base, between the two metal charging prongs there is a small square plastic button. Try pressing that. I had all sorts of problems with my base and handsets and pushing that button sorted it. I don't really know why. I went through all of the normal registering process to no avail until I pressed that button.
Dave.
I think that he has this one: http://www.beoworld.org/prod_details.asp?pid=1234
In which case there is a little button at the back that you have to press for at least 4 seconds to 'open the base for registration of handsets'.
Yes, OK. I was really unclear from the OP what he had as it referred to a wall charger (of which there are several possibilities). The button principal is the same though so hopefully this will work.
