Hi,
I am trying to configure a Beosystem 2 with a Beomedia 1. Plugging in the ML connections I expected the choices in the System Settings menu of the Beomedia set up for command and VM option to be greyed out at the commands are recieved by the remote sensor on the Beosystem 2 and the information sent to the Beomedia by ML cable.
So I became a bit suspicious and looking at the service menu for Beosystem 2 it flagged up an error message on "Last ML/SL error" ---> "CI" The service manual tells me this is "Address Configuration Impossible"
Not sure whether this is terminal or I have made a mistake in the set up forcing this error. I did struggle a while back to connect my Beosystem 5500 to the TV by ML connection and converter, so it might be an error I generated then, or a failure of the ML Board in the Beosystem 2.
All advice welcomed!
Cheers
Gary
Hello, me again.
Doing some research, I note that there are at least 3 different versions of the Beosystem 2
When I go "Menu", "Set up", "Connections", "Menu", "Camera", I note that the choice of connections is limited to CAMERA or VAux(STB). On my other BS2 box I note I have a choice that includes PC, which I use for connect my Beomedia. I cannot replicate this on my recent acquisiton, is this a "Type" issue or is this adjustable within the service menu?
I suppose that the most recent Mk3 type 9422 would be he version I should be looking for?
And is it just luck to have my Topfield PaVR4800 contained in the STB(C) list, or is that 'type' related too? I understand that some of the earlier versions won't have more recent products listed because they wouldn't have been invented by the time the BS2 hit the streets.
Still worried that I have an error message for my ML connection.
All help recieved with thanks
