Hi all memebers,

I've got the chance to listen to the BL12.2 but not the BL3.

If some of you can share some experiences on both these speakers I would like to know which one you woukld choose and why ?

Thanks a lot

Franck

I do have BL3 and did listen to 12.1 and 12.2 as well. I do prefer the 3 over both of them. More punch, and still very clear. Mine got even better after having added a BL11.

The BL12 are very nice, but depend on the wall you are hanging them. So you should listen to them in your home. And add in any case a BL11.

I purchased the 3s over the 12 when the 12 was just out. Back then they were only wall mountable and there were no stands.

I would have purchased the 12s as they had the new power link connectors and also thought they had a clean sound. They were however not compatible with my placement option.

I purchased the BL3 to go with my encore after using my BL4 PC version via the headphone socket of the encore.

I loved the look and the sound of the 3s and are very happy with them via the playmaker.

I must admit I hardly listen to them I should think of a better use for them whether it is with wireless 1 with my sony tv or perhaps bite the bullet and go for the new avant lol.

Anyway you won't go wrong with either 3s or 12s but for an interesting design aesthetic, sound and better placement options the 3s would be a great choice.

Hi there,

Thanks Heribert and Michael for sharing your feeling. Some says that BL12.2 lack some bass. I think I should start considering the BL3. To me sound first, then design. Best would be to test at home both, not that easy...

Cheers

Franck

I live daily the range BeoLab 12 !

The BeoLab 12.3 have a phantastic sound for the slim size. True that BeoLab 12.2 have little lack of bass. But the design of the last David Lewis speaker is timeless. Just a question of taste.

I agree, not only do they look great they sound it.

love the way the light catches on the polished finish. I just finished wiring in a pair of 12.3s yesterday as rears for my tv set up. Now i need a  BV.

The GF has a set of 12.2s (as wall space to small for 12.3s) and is using a BL2 at its lowest setting not so much for bass as``presence``

Hi BeoBoy68 and valve1,

I just forgot to explain my need at the begining ... Erm..

Those speakers are not to plug on a TV system but on Beosound Ouverture to listen music only. I'm currently have doubt which models to replace the BL2500.

- BL12.3

- OR BL3

- OR BL4000

For a budget point of view the 4000.

For design the 12

For best sound, 12 or 3 ?

That is the question I turn around and around... It will be installed in ly bedroom around 15meters square.

Cheers

I agree with your list. Can not comment on Bl3s as I never had them.

The 12s are a much better and more detailed speaker than the 4000.

Value for money, the 4000s !

For myself, its the 12s

Did see some 12s on ebay.de for good prices.

Hi there,

See my post regarding problem and solving on my Ouverture by B&O seller of my town. Really happy on the job he did.

So he propose me a pair of BL12.2 demo (so new in fact, only there for one month), in original carton, with all cable (RJ45 to PL compatible) installed at my house for 2500 euros (with 2 years warranty like new ).

He get back my BL2500 for 500 euros in fact.

To purchase. 1 x 500 euros then 20 x 100 euros so with 0% interest.

That's no that bad ?

Franck

and I made a mistake those are 12.3 the one with 2 subwoofers not the .2. I found pretty good bass when listening I had some doubt. Will ask to mention 12.3 on quotation not only 12.

Your feedback on this proposal are welcome !

Cheers

Franck
