Is it possible to connect one's cell phone to the AUX of the BeoSound 2000 to play music? If so, how?

Yes, I'm assuming you'll be using the headphone jack from your cell to the DIN / AUX connection on your BS2K. Purchase an iPOD to B&O or Minijack to DIN cable from eBay or one of many shops. B&O dealers are well aware of this use.

I used a cable to attach an Airport express to a BS9000 way back. Punched AUX on the Beo4, then controlled the music from my computer, routing to Airplay to the Airport express.

For you it is much simpler, connect your cell to the BS2K, then control the music from your cell. Though you'd def have to adjust the volume on one or both devices appropriately.
