Remote one and BV7 mk3

There seems tot be a software update needed of my BV7 mk3, in order to make it (fully?) work with a new remote one.

Can somebody explain why?

The BeoRemote one uses a new set of codes has has a couple of keys that the bv7 does cannot handle.

You can set the BeoRemote 1 into Beo4 mode, and it should work with the BV7, but the Info and Guide keys will remain inactive.

It is unknown if B&O will issue software updates. I wouldn't count on it. The remote already having a compatibility mode.

I understand you say that in Beo4 mode only Info and Guide keys will not function (with a BV7 mk3)?

 

Also the 3 my buttons will function like source keys that you can programme.

That's what the manual says.
