As the title says: Can I terminate old Powerlink cables with a grounded RJ45 connector (I think that it has to be the grounded ones?) or should I buy adaptors or new cables? I have a lot of Powerlink cables and I don't want to put too much money into new cables just to throw the old ones away. I frequently make my own network cables so it would not be that much trouble to terminate to a Rj45 connector - perhaps a little since the wires inside is not the same as in a ethernet cable. Anyone tried?

Actually this is one of the reasons for the change of connectors - it is much easier (and cheaper).

Every installer should have a bag of these in his car
