Hi - hope someone can help, the doors open when the unit is switched on at the plug and then stay open with light on. While plugged in they can be manually closed but do not open with wave of hand.

If I leave open then turn off at the plug then back on quickly they close, then if I turn off in the same second they stay closed.

I don't think they need lubricating as above they seem to work.

Please help.

Thanks

Leigh.

I know if there are any fluorescent lights in the room, sometimes it can react to those. Otherwise, if you're handy, I would suggest testing the sensor with a multimeter, although it is quite difficult to get to.

Hi Elms - thanks for your reply, since receiving it I have found when used for say 30 mins the doors seem to close - then will open with a wave of the hand. Could it be more a timing issue?

Try to open the CD cover - if it will open/close the doors as usual, then the IR leds or receivers are not working well.
