Is it possible to control the sources (e.g. Radio) with a beoremote?
Is there one analog IN?
What are the placement options?
Beosound Stage, Beovision 8-40, Beolit 20, Beosound Explore.
Almost US $3k AND I supply my IPad? What if the form factor changes again? And what happened to WMA lossless support? My whole BM5 is filled with rips at WMA Lossless, the BnO recommended archive format! Already pisses me off that my Essence can't handle WMA lossless right now.
convert these files to flac

I am sure you can batch convert your files. Lossless to Lossless conversion is... uh... lossless !!!!
Beoworld app with direct photo upload and emoticons.
emilos:7" screen No local storage Can play MP3 up to 320, and FLAC/ALAC in 24 BIT That must satisfy some people :)

Brigantinus:Is it possible to control the sources (e.g. Radio) with a beoremote?
There is an image where you can see "Radio" as a source.
Also I think there's a IR eye on the base.
I wonder if it can act as the BeoRemote app to control the TVs and Beolink Gateway as well...

I do not think that you have to supply an Ipad, if you look at the pictures there is no home button.
Really feel this product right away, really nice.
Beovision Harmony 77" 2nd Gen, Beolab 5, Beolab 17, Beosound 1, Beoplay M3, Beoplay Portal, Beoplay Earset, Beoliving Intelligence

Seems to run Spotify. The design look really nice.
I really love the way they made the system look more robust and in some way "new retro".
I didn't like the fancy look of the bs5, to me B&O products have to be somewhat "symetrical" and in balance. And yeah the wood
Wonder what it looks like, when the (i)pad is removed?

Guess i got my question answered by the 2 posts above picture!!
A beauty

smile and enjoy the moment
Looks Really Nice!...How do you put your cd collection on it to play? Do you add a nas to the base unit?
It's a tablet on a very clumsy looking stand, although I should reserve judgement until actually seeing it.
Can't imagine that repeatedly pressing within that indented wood circle isn't going to give some discolouration in the long term, unless the wood has a very special coating.

That's the problem I'm having with it visually, I think it would have looked much better if only the screen area was visible rather than the wide, black dead bezel of the quite obvious drop in third party "tablet/module" - it looks more like a mocked up prototype of a following finished product.
I also agree that the base/stand looks quite bulky - it'll be interesting to see it in the flesh and find out what connectivity it has etc.
Ban boring signatures!
Video hands on
It is in danish but she isn't telling something new, but you get a good look at the unit.
So this is an extension to you iPad? Price 3.000?
You're kidding me....
Too long to list....
You can see the dilemma facing Bno re: fingerprints. I like the BS5 for no prints. You can have easy, intuitive access and no prints...unless someone makes a satin glass that yields good quality images.

i would not be concerned - just think of how long they tested this device
They should have noticed that by now.

There is a tv - and there is a BV

After watching the vimeo clip the tablet looks better than I thought, but the base unit worse. You get a brief glimpse of the usual wire entry problem and a not very well designed rear face.
Then, on further reflection, I thought it looked like a beautiful chopping board for the kitchen.

Exactly my first thought also - say hello to fingerprints.
However, a touchscreen is the way to go now as this is the "natural" way to interact for most people these days. I like it but I find it hard to believe that it will be a big seller unless it has a very attractive price point. There are a lot of things I would buy before the Moment - for me, an Ipad Air with Spotify is almost as nice..
Anyone else thinks it looks like an embedded Ipad?
My B&O products: Beosound 9000, Beosound 2300, Beosound Century, Beolab 8000, Beolab 6000, Beolab 4000 x2, Beolab 3500, Beolab 2000, Beolab 10, Beolink Active x2, Beotime, Beo5 x2, Beo4, A9 keyring x2, LC2 dimmer x6 and growing....
I'm sure this will do wonder for the B&O stock. Oh, wait. I have an iPad.
...and you stream your music from an iPad to WISA Beolabs. Oh wait, you don't.
RasmusOe:Yeah, Guess the old MCPs is why the design feels familiar!
bayerische: I'm sure this will do wonder for the B&O stock. Oh, wait. I have an iPad.
I have an iPad. I hate using it for music because it's clinical and it's my business device. Everytime I pick the thing up to do something I get distracted by an email, or a notification of some sort.
i love the idea of this.
i have a zippo lighter, it cost me way more than the plastic ones from a service station but guess which one I would rather use.

I don't use my iPad for music. B&O seem to use it for it though.
Oh, well...
I guess we should all sit in a ring clapping our hands at the mighty electronics B&O has come up with this time.
Please don't mistake this for an iPad.
It is (at least on one side) a touchscreen - ok!
But apart from that, it has nothing to do with an iPad - or rather with the concept of an iPad.
And the concept of this new device is, what one should focus on.
It is the perfect 'music-family-nanny'!
It is a music butler, who always knows, what pleases you - his job is to create the right mood in every situation for you.
Those, who need a nanny/a butler to pick the music for them, will be extremely satisfied with it.
Those, who more actively choose the music they want to listen to, will do better with an iPad and the music app/apps of their own choice coupled with a Playmaker as an audiosystem - I guess.
Should I mention to which of those categories I count myself

So the real question is:
Is this the moment we've all been waiting for?

If this isn't an iPad... It sure looks like an iPad that is put in the middle of this thing...
Can this thing work without an iPad?
Paul W: Nice video! I like the ladies erotic voice, quite a turn on ;)
