Anyone use a pair of beolab 5 without the sync function built in ...

Hi

When choosing a pair of beolab 5 is it really important that it has the sync function ?

I plan to use it with a beomaster 5 with digital input for stereo and an oppo 103d (analog output) for 5.1 listening.

Does someone use them in the same kind of set up.

Steve from soundsheavenly say on his website that the volume of the bl5 should be set nearly to its highest level, and the volume control is done through the external non b&o device.

How the volume of the bl5 is set like this ?
