Does anyone have some pictures of how the lid of the Beocenter 2800 sits?
When purchased the lid was completely loose, and I can see no spring or stops on each side of the lid.
Currently it just sits there but the slightest movement moves the entire lid backwards.
The service manual was useful but some real pictures would be very helpful!
Thanks!
One can assume its like the Beogram 1500 (also 1900,1902, 1100 & 1102, and even more)

Nothing like it at all.The whole lid with hinge mech etc. can come off in a matter of seconds without the use of any tools. The Beocenter 2800 lid sits with two slide-in holders, one each side, not unlike the Beocenter 1800 and 3500.It slides backwards very easily, unfortunately that's quite common, especially if the lid was taken off andput back on many times. The sliding plastic things gets worn. Sometimes it can help a little if you add a small piece of black scotch tapeto sandwich between the sliding plastic things and the aluminum surface of the Beocenter.

It is a very unusual lid mech. Nothing like any of my Beograms so I really do appreciate the response Martin.
I will try the scotch tape in between the plastic things and the surface.
Many thanks!
Hi - i'm having the same problem on my Beocenter 2000 - i just can't figure out where the strong spring 'thing' goes on the top right corner.
The top left seems to sit ok, the rest sits forward and as for that spring....
Driving me a bit mad, any advice would be most welcome.
