I recently got a 7700 and the main lid and it's mechanism was removed. I'm having a hard time re-attaching it. I can't determine how and where the spring attaches. From what I've read, it sound like the curved end of the spring should attach to the round nub on the side of the damper plate. But - when I attach the damper, the spring can't reach the nub. What am I doing wrong?! I've attached a couple pictures.

Hmmmm hard to see details in those small images.Isnt this the classic issue of the broken plastic arm ?, that so many bc model suffer from.If it is I have this problem myself
