Beosound Essence and Spotify Connect

Hi all,

bought an Essence yesterday and got everything up and running also Spotify Connect. In the Spotify App I can choose a bitrate for streaming. Is my understanding correct, that the app tells the Essence to start a streaming from the spotify server and the iPad can then be switched off? But how to tell the Essence what bitrate to use?

Spotify connect always streams with 320 kbps:

Hi Räuber,

great, thanks for the information.

I used a fixed IP for the cable-ethernet interface and it seems, that the Essence resets this to DHCP after power-loss... Is this only my device or does anyone else have this problem as well?
