Hi All . I have a beolink 7000 remote that has a problem , off the charger it’s dead but when placed back it shows ‘Stand-by’ ( blue screen on and a few of the red options below ) it then briefly goes to the red dot top right corner as it should but then lights up again as before and continues to cycle like that every 15 seconds or so . Have switched of the 7000 master but no difference , is there a master re-set somewhere or is it the dead battery causing the problem ?
Richard
Dead battery is most liekly the cause. Typical symptoms. Cheers
Hi and thanks for the reply , presume its a special but where to get one and could I fit it ? Richard
Hi, it's easy to replace the battery - just one screw on the lower bottom of the unit opens the door. It's a 5aa cell nicad battery pack with a plug attached, much like changing the battery in a cordless phone. I tried a nimh pack in mine but i don't think the charger is really meant for those. I made my own battery with aa cells but there's probably someone on here or ebay selling them.
The wires needs to be soldered and does not have a connector.

Hi both and thanks for the help , will have a look tonight .
Hi again . It's got 5 off Sanyo nickel cadmium (kr) n-700AAC soldered , bit of a mess inside as they have corroded but dosn't seam to have any contamination below , got two of these 7000 so will do both but where can I find them to buy in the UK , don't want to get the wrong one's ?

Hi Leslie and thanks for link , been hunting but could'nt find any so far , these are joined and ready to go , great . Put the 7000 back on its charger without any batteries and is still doing the same fault , hopefully with batteries it's will be back to normal . Thanks again . Richard
Once new batteries are installed it will function. Maybe you will have issues with the 2-way functionality but that's a cap problem that can be solved.
Hi Leslie . I could try the batteries from the other one I have as they are clean but think I will leave well alone although it will be next week before I get the replacement . Thanks again , Richard
Hi all that replied , got the new battery fitted and all ok now , as you said it won't work without a good battery even on the charger . I can get on rebuilding a Pietra Dura picture that arrived as a pile of bits , like a jigsaw but made of marble , quite large 520 x 365 mm and has taken 2 full days and nights to piece it back together from the reverse side , now have to bond it together from the back then cut a few new pieces that i couldn't find . thanks all again . Richard
Good to hear Richard. Now, does the 2-way work as well?
Hi . Will find my BM7000 book on how to put in into two way again . Had it set a while ago to two way but my BV7 in the next room would turn off at 6,10 pm every day , it turned out to be the 7000 system doing it so set it to one way and solved the problem , no timers were set but it kicked out a signal at 6.10 every day some reason . Richard

I don't think you can put your BL7000 in one or two-way mode. It automatically "senses" your one or two-way devices when adding it in the BL7000 menu.
Hi Leslie . From what I remember from a long time ago the 7000 master has to be set in option 1 or for 2 way option 2 , but was a long time ago and can't find in the books but will have another look .
Hi . Can't find option programming in my book , but , played a cd and track number comes up and updates when I track advanced on the masted but no volume at the top . Got my other bl7000 thats with a BM4500 and that shows track and volume at the top , strangely so did the battery changed one but no volume when the other BL7000 was removed . As track in showing I presume 2 way is on but it's not displaying the volume . Have it on a floor stand and looks good with the other one on the table , stereo BLink7000's must be a first .
You're right, thought you were talking about the remote...
