In a second room BL passive. Powerlink connector connected to the BS2500

Does it work?

Hi Silou,

yes this should work, but the volume will be controlled from the main room and the second room will get sound every time you listen to music in the mainroom.

If you want different volumes in both rooms or just music in the second room you need a masterlink connection between the BS2500 and the second room. To get a masterlink connection to your BS2500 you also need a BeoLink converter 1611 or 1614 The Beolink passive needs an IR eye (puck) to receive control commands from your B&O Remote controller (BL 1000, Beo4 ...)

Hope this helps

Hi RaMaBo,

thank you for your tips.

i would like different volume in both room or just music in the second room.

Also I need necessarely the converter. I this way, I suppose Aux connector's BL2500 into the converter then ML cable to the second room.

Right?

Thanks

Hi,

yes that's correct the AUX cable is needed to connect the BS 2500 to the Beolink converter. A powerlink cable is not necessary from the BS2500 to the Beolink converter. I have a the same setup but with a BeoLab 2000 instead of the Beolink passive and passive speakers.
