The 2 would indicate that those are relatively lowpriced headphones.

Does anyone know the pricetag?

I love a little bit of irony about BeoPenguins, office chair wheels, A triple tipsy (Beoplay A3), the Beo bow tie lab, or the odd Snow White coffin (Braun). I still remember the pair of BeoVox Penta in a shop, which didn't impress me at all, but are now giving a much better impression for my eyes and ears in my living room ...

Perfect timing as I want to upgrade my commuting headphones ....

As one on the pics shows a wire looking doubtful that they are Bluetooth, would have preferred jawbone technology than an in-line mic and the design seems to lack active noise cancellation. If they are rechargeable hopefully you can interchange batteries as I always like to carry a spare charged for long journeys but again the wire suggests otherwise.

we tend to forget there is more to design than designing.

Very sub - beoplay.

Could nor agree more - looks very much like the designs from fresh Scandinavian designers - which should not be the design for Bang & Olufsen nor Beoplay IMHO.

Is this really the design that the general public (and for that matter previous Bang & Olufsen and Beoplay customers) are looking for or is it more the design suiting a designer's taste. The comparison with wheels to a desk chair was spot on.

Let's hope they look etter in the flesh - I am not impressed.

My B&O products: Beosound 9000, Beosound 2300, Beosound Century, Beolab 8000, Beolab 6000, Beolab 4000 x2, Beolab 3500, Beolab 2000, Beolab 10, Beolink Active x2, Beotime, Beo5 x2, Beo4, A9 keyring x2, LC2 dimmer x6 and growing....

OT: Just wonder what the price for H2 is going to be - probably 99 EUR or so (judging from first looks).

I wonder why noone came up with that as the H6 was launched!

It is the same kind of hinge as the H6 has - only another material, and both cups are round as a wheel is.

----

There's a fine line between posting a comment as a 'nickname', and one that can easily be mistaken/understood as some kind of 'prejudice'.

I am not 'defending' the form/design of the H2's - I couldn't, because I have only seen a couple of pics 'till now.

I am only saying, that many people often change there attitude to a (B&O) product, after they have seen it in real.

If I were to post a comment based on these pics, it would rather be this:

I wonder who they are targeted at?

I don't suppose we will see some self-important/highblown rapper wearing them in a horrible video this time CoolBig Smile

If they are made aggressively for a particular price point then that's fine and perfect for the Play brand.

All I see is Beats Beats Beats Bleats on the streets they're all like sheep.

But can we see next a true audiophile headphone.

With all respect Mark, there's a reason why Beats sell incredibly well and a reason why Apple paid 3billion for the company. The heavy bass sound works well for the young demographics style of music.

Sound quality is subjective just like music choice. Many HAVE complained here the the H6 was incredibly flat sounding - boring and lifeless in my opinion, the same is now being said for the A2. I own a A8 iPhone dock and for me, it's too flat sounding and is placed in a spare bedroom for guests as a phone charger only. Also what the heck is going on with these boring old man colours? Beige and green? Seriously, these are definitely NOT targeted towards the BEATS / Senheisser Momentum Mini type of buyer! Do young people honestly buy into siege and green? my research says NO! Bang & Olufsen customers will be the buyers of them as they are the ones who continue to buy into the brand.

Seriously MM, that is not a fair comparison. The H6 looks classy - this just looks cheap and I will be very surprised if they sell well - unless they are below the 100 euro mark.
But who knows, they might look fabulous in real life but as the photos is all we have seen so far, that is what we are basing our opinions at - basing it on something else makes no sense IMHO.

I have H6's and they are perfect indoor headphones but I spend a lot of hours on the go and would like a good looking high quality headset with noise cancelling ability with preferably bluetooth to reduce hard wire connection.

Bass will always be a marmite question but Apple played smart with BEATS as their own iTunes business model has passed its sell by date and they really wanted the Beats music streaming service. At the time of purchase Apple mentioned they would also like to get into the streaming speakers so the headphones market is a good start point. Personally I would liked to have seen Apple become a technical partner with B&O, big pockets and creative minds mixed with one uber cool audio and visual manufacture.

What does that have to do with 'a true audiophile headphone.' (whatever that means)?

The H8 will be a bluetooth HP, I am informed.

Maybe that'll do for you?

Haven't heard anything about 'noice cancelling', though.

I am pretty sure Apple did not buy Beats because of the headphones - they wanted the streaming service and the expertice that comes with it. And they wanted it before it smashed iTunes as a business model.

It might be true that the heavy bass of the Beats HP's sounds well for a certain kind of music.

But B&O never made (and I guess never will make) gear for a certain style of music.

If you find the A8 'too flat sounding', it is simply not the kind of gear that you need.

I wonder, if you will be/are satisfied with other speakers from the B&O range, as none of those are 'blessed with' a 'heavy bass sound'.

By the way,  life is flat sounding - not heavy bass sounding - and certainly not boring and lifeless!

I bought the H6 (after trying several other HP's), because it is rather flat - because it does not corrupt the music, that I usually listen to.

If the H2's are equally tuned, I might buy them - not having to take my (relatively expensive) H6's on the go. Seems that they will be at such a pricetag, that loosing them won't hurt as much as loosing the H6's.

Let's see what colours they come in - and how they look and feel in the flesh.

Never the less - it will be interesting to see the advertising/the pictures of the people wearing them,

when they will be launched next week Geeked

He is, and will continue to be, an idiot until he realises that his narrow minded view of music, hifi, and technology is nothing but that - his own view and the vast majority here don't agree and would rather he didn't post his drivel! He's also contradicted himself on this site more times than I care to remember - he loves it, he's gonna buy it, right up unitl he's not sure, then it's not as good as Apple and a waste of money etc!

I really don't know why he even bothers to turn up!!

No it isn't, accurate sound reproduction is measurable - opinion about sound quality is subjective! While you continue to bleat on about Beats your argument will continue to fall on stony ground among those who pursue hifi or even good quality!

Style is timeless, fashion is for victims! Go worry about colours!

My advice? - buy Beats, a new iPhone every year, clothes from Paul Smith .................. and post somewhere else!

Big SmileBig SmileBig Smile Well said (or written), Puncher.

It gets a bit annoying reading the postings from Paul 'Young' (sorry: Paul W). Constantly whining about 'boring old men' and constantly telling how 'Young and stylish' he and his friends are. I guess time will solve that problem... one day he is a boring old man - with flashy colors, of course.

The officiel launch will be on thursday 20th november.

Surely the dealers (or at least some of them) have gotten them by now, but they are not allowed to sell - or show - them before the launch.

There will be a third colour (something blueish) too. They should be quite omfortable - so my local dealer said. The sound being not quite as superb as the H6. But you wouldn't expect that for the price it retails: 1500 DKK (around 200€).

Another nice thing - there will be a second cable (though not included) without the Apple-remote-thingy....for Android-users.

This cable should be (so I was told) 2,5 m - and can be used for the H6 as well!
