Hi,

Is it possible to put a BL18 behind a corner couch that is 73cm high?

Would the speakers be covered or affect the base?

I'm thinking about rear speaker options.

Thanks in advance.

Well they would work, but the bass port is in the lower half of the speaker so they may boom a little if behind a sofa, depends how close I suppose. Plus you would not be able to see the the lovely tapered finish at the bottom to compete the look (doesn't affect sound of course). Why not add the lab19 sub instead? would improve all speaker modes (if you have a beovision in your set up) and your lab3's, as seen in your "flash your" thread.

hope this helps

Agree with Steevegee Yes - thumbs up

For your solution a BeoLab 19 will be nice.

Thanks Guys for the suggestion... I think the 19 may be too much , too big in a small space :-)

Stevegee, are your 18's in your picture in white, wood?  Or is the white some other material?

Hi, no it's not wood. I think they call it composite, it's a matt finish. No complaints about this finish over the wood, in my room anyway. I will see if I can upload a picture.

the lab19 would work great I think 😀, do you have a B&O tv?, I am thinking of adding it to my set up as it sounds amazing for music and movies with the lab18's. I like electronic music (amongst others) though, so controlled base is what I am after.

Hi , thanks for the photo of the BL18s - i did go to return the beolab 3 stand tonight and i saw them in white.  yes it is a composite material, it's a bit like ecowood as others have called it.
