Chaps,

Has anyone else experienced their 4000's arm refusing to lower? Whenever I press the ON button I'm get a bit of loud relay chatter before the arm moves across (however the speed fluctuates heavily) and no matter how many times you press the down arrow on the control pad it will not lower (although left and right seems ok).

The solenoid and levers that the arm lowers on moves fine when you push/pull so doesn't seem seized leading me to think it could be cause by an electrical fault

Any ideas?

Rob

Hello!

Yes, that's the leaf relay at the base of the arm carriage that has erratic contact. I had to replace it completely, you might get luckier...

Bonjour jacques,

Took mine out and readjusted the contact point - now works fine and my solanoid engages as it shoud.

Thank you for the picture :-)
