I went to McAllen TX, to pick up a Tweeter for my Beovox M70s, Rich gave it to me, and as like it was nothing he just mentioned, I have a BG 3000 for parts, do you want it, of course I said yes, Rich went through the hassle to secure the BG for shipping and pack it, thats not a small task the way he did it, he also paid the freight, and will not let me pay for anything.
I opened the box from Rich first thing, the tweeter was heavy on my mind
And found this, A BG CD50 for parts or repair, there is no end to Richs benevolence, I got the CD 50 out of the box, and went looking for the other box.
I found the other box, again perfect packing, the first that I got out was the tweeter, covered in heavy cardboard and a lot of bobble wrap, with the gasket no less.
After taking out the perspex cover, the BG 3000 could be seen, the tonearm protected with heavy cardboard.
I took the BG out of the box, left the bobble wrap around it for the transport to Mexico, and well protected I found the platter.
After arriving in Mexico, i got everything out of the wrapping for a first sight, the BG is well looking, as I was in a hurry no further checking was done
Rich your benevolence has no limits, I thank you and pointing my cuba in north easterly direction toast you, may your life be long and may your gods go with you.
Collecting Vintage B&O is not a hobby, its a lifestyle.
It sounds like it is a very Merry Christmas for Søren this year. We'll look forward to your restoration projects. Thanks for providing Søren with the gear Rich.-sonavor
Well, shucks, it's all good.
One way of looking at it: all that stuff was just sitting in my garage getting older and never going to be worked on or used. Soren, you're just as much doing me a favor by taking this stuff off my hands.
Another way of looking at it: I'm just making a deposit into the Karma Bank!
Good luck with this BG3000.
