Hi Beoworlders
I have a set-top box and a raspberry pi (running xbmc) connected to my BV7-32, mkIII HD ready. I connected the set top box with component, and the pi using dvi. Both devices are set to output 1080i, supposedly the best the BV can handle. But I read online that it might work better if I change the input to the television to 720p.
Before I start changing these settings - which can be a bit of a fuss, considering both devices' fallback is on their analogue output, in case the changed setting does not work instantly - I would really appreciate your input on this matter. What is the best setting in your experience with the bv7-32?
Thanks!

Hi
It is never mind, the Scaler module accepts both 1080I and 720P. However
The BV 7-32 MK III panel is a 720 P panel, so this panel will not accept 1080P. Some set-top boxes gives the best Pictures at 720P other at 1080I. As You properly know, 1080I is "half frame Picture" and 720 P is full frame Picture. So it depends on your broadcaster. If they transmit in 1080I then You shall choose this. If it's 720P then choose this Only way to find out is to go into the Set-top box itechnical iifo menu for each channel. Here you will see if the program is tramsmitted in 720P or 1080I

I am pretty sure all HD channels in the netherlands are broadcasted in 1080p. To what should I set the output then? And through my raspberry pi I am watching all kind of formats, which I guess it is scaling internally before it outputs to 1080i.
Hi MjBeo
If the broadcaster transmit in 1080P and your STB support 1080P choose 1080I for BV 7-32.mkIII for best Picture.
