Hello,

I just noticed today that my EarSet 3i has broken. They sound weird and after trying different sources (iphone/ipad/mac) I now realise that there is a shortcut or something of the like in the connector. The sound is exactly same in both headphones and if I try to change balance to R/L it still outputs to both headphones.
If I press in the rubber-casing on the connector it sometimes sounds right so I guess they used an inferior connector.

So what should I do now? I don't have any warranty because I got my bad Earset 3 exchanged for the EarSet 3i...

I have hada few A8 and the first Earset 3 that all had their own different problems. I noticed when I got my EarSet 3i that the connector was different than on the Earset 3.

I love the design and the sound so I really want them to work...

I have always been extremely cautious about not breaking them and taking good care of the cables so It is weird that they have already broke down after a few months only.

My dealer said that it was 60€ to made them repaired by B&O when outof waranty.

You can also try to find a connector by yourself (must not be more than 5€), and solder it yourself.

Ah, thanks. I guess I could but I want it to be done in a good way. And it is not the usual stereo-teleplug since it has volume buttons also and microphone.

Can't understand why they have so much problems with the connector. I have had problems with it on several a8, earset 3 and now earset 3i. Never on any other headphones. It is very strange. But looking at the cable it is very obvious that it is a fragile design..
