I've got a Beocenter 3000 with Masterlink and 2 Powelink outputs and one AUX input, I use this to play music to my Beolab 2500/8000 CD's and airplay through a aux cable...
Now I've bought a new Sony TV and it has 2 outputs, Toslink and analog 3.5mm stereo.
I was wondering what is the easiest way to get a 4.0 surround output through my 8000 and 2500 speakers.
Thanks in advance!!
"You think we can slap some oak on this thing?"
leosgonewild: But you need a surround receiver.
But you need a surround receiver.
Otherweise it would just be 'double-stereo'.

There is a tv - and there is a BV
Okay so what would be most suited? How will I be able to keep using my Beocenter 3000?
Connect the analog tv-output to the Aux-in like you do now with the other source(s).
But with multiple sources, you will need a switch to manually change from sound from tv to sound from AirPlay et cetera...
If you want to use your equipment in a surround setup, you can do the following:
-Get a surround receiver with pre-out (rca-outputs), and connect your BL8000 and BL2500 as front and rear speakers.
-Connect the Beosound to one of the aux-inputs on the surround receiver, and also the tv/bluray/dvd to the surround receiver.
This way you are able chose if you want to listen to surround sound from your dvd/bluray´s, or to music from your Beosound.
Unfortunately, receivers with pre-out are usually expensive :(
