I have a fairly nice set up now via ML. Beosound 4000 master a few passive 1658's with the IR eye for control as well as a Beolab 2000 and 3500... I was hoping to integrate a Essence into the equation but I know this may be possible through the AUX jack on the Beosound 4000.... Would I have full control to distribute sound from the Essence over my entire network???
Another question could I use the Essence alone with a B&O passive and use my own speakers in another separate location???? If so how would it be accomplished?
Sorry for the questions..
Thanks

Don't feel sorry for the questions - but do feel sorry for not searching the forum before posting
This question (and similar) has been asked quite a few times now - most recently in a thread started just 2 days ago.
Please have a look there:

As with any other BeoSound/BeoCenter with PowerLink as the speakers connection you can easily use a BeoLink Passive for driving any (well almost any) passive speakers.
Just connect the PL-out of the Essence to the PL-in on the BL Passive amp - you don't need the 'ir-eye' connected.
And you will have to use a - fully wired - RJ/PL to DIN/PL cable (or an adapter), since the plug of the PL has been changed.
All newer B&O devices have the RJ/PL connections.
Do feel free to ask further questions after reading the thread mentioned above
P.S. For the europeans amongst the Beoworlders - a BS4000 is what we call a BeoSound Ouverture!
