The CD player on our BeoSound 2000 has become inoperable (everything else works fine). Is there any hope of replacing/repairing our unit. We love this unit (bought in 1989) and do not want to purchase something else....can anyone help.

Welcome to Beoworld.

the BS2000 (Century) is one of my favourite B&O pieces.  You can still obtain the CD mechanisms via sites such as eBay.  I don't know if any B&O dealer/service centre will service them anymore.  They can be fixed so don't despair.

However, if you tell us the complete 'symptoms' i.e what happens when you try to play a CD or what s in the display - we may have other suggestions for you.

You do have the opportunity to connect other sources via the AUX input to play music via the Century depending on what you want to listen to.

Dave.

glass window opens fine with hand wave, push button for cd and arm lifts up fine, insert cd on spindle, push button to lower arm works fine, push button to start cd and voila.....NOTHING. Even a hand spin start does not work, cd spins but will not play.
