Just a note and a couple of pictures to show the Beosystem 7000 in Black which I bought from member 'Leslie' in the Low Countries a few weeks ago.  Many thanks to him.

As has previously been said by other's who have bought from him in the past, the packing and shipping was excellent - all locking screws etc in place and very, very secure.  Cables for the BL4000 speakers too. Compared to the usual auction site used bt me and many others, this system was a bargain, especially as there isn't a mark on it.

It's a shame that he feels driven from this site and no longer visits as it now deprives others of the opportunity to buy similar B&O products and gain from some of his restorations.

Dave.

I can only second that. Leslie is one of the most important and passionate contributors, who has his stakes in making this site what it is. Calling him a bragger and assuming that he is just here to make his business is way off from my point of view.

I like the diversity of the members here. There are some technology specialists like Dillen, die_Bogener, Menahem Yachad and Ulf Kiener (just to name a few), there are passionate collectors, employees of Bang & Olufsen, the guys behind the site and its service, but also peolple like Leslie who enjoy their restoration work, the colletcing and helping others to find rare items in great condition. He has helped me in the past a couple of times before and judging the quality and prices of his items there was definitely not much business for him. Also, he has given away quite a bit of his stuff for free.

Most of the arguments seem rather unimportant to me. But at the same time, i have no direct stakes in any of that. As I've said, there's enough room for all of us here. Just my point of view. So please: no more bashing. There's neither a reason nor a need for it.

Greetings,

Kai

Fully agree with both of you !!!! Less blah blah, LOP ;)

I can't count how much of these remotes he saved (mine too ;). A friend who is an official B&O seller came one day to see my BC 9500 and Pentas and says me that they were EXACTLY like they were 20 years ago when he was selling them ;).

Fantastic set up Dave, I agree with your comments and sentiments. It is a shame and hopefully he will be back!

Did you pick up the stand separately or was that included with the purchase?

Ben

I picked up the stand via eBay.de but I'll spray it black to match.

Dave.

By the way Dave. One thing is that you have a very nice setup and many great items to show. But above all, your posts are also always very friendly, humble, helpful and understanding. So it's not only Leslie (whom I like a lot) who is to be praised here but also you who started the topic.

Let's keep the site the great place it is.

Greetings,

Kai

The comments regarding Dave is more than true. His comments are always friendly, neutral and helpfull. You should be a mod Dave. Anyway guys, your comments are much appreciated and I think I will return and won't let me get bullied by "certain" members and I think you know to who I'm talking about. I'm not finished....

Leslie, surely a comment like that just inflames any situation?  It also shows little or no intent to resolve, or ignore, any issues you have with any other BeoWorld users...

If you wish to return, and move on, then I'd just keep smiling and keep posting.  BeoWorld should be a friendly place. Sure, we all have different opinions - but that's what makes a great forum.  It's how you react to those different opinions which makes all the difference.

Wasn't it you Lee who mentioned or referred to me as "a certain member" who was the cause of Dillens abscence? Some members took their chance to give their so called "funny" and childish comments on Lassi's (Orava) thread. Let me tell you this, I had some email correspondence with Dillen and he himself said that I was not the cause of his abscence. You or BW just let these jokemakers comments continue while others backed me up. At least you should have taken the effort to remove all comments not related to Orava's thread. Friendly forum? And please don't remove my post. It happened before with one of Menahems post.

Hey Les,

let's all forget about the past and eventual misunderstandings that may have happened. We should all consider that written language is something that makes it easy for misunderstandings to happen. And people do not even always mean things the way they let them sound in a particular moment. If we all were sitting round a table that would be an entirely different story. This (written) way, a lot of interpretation is going on and negative sentiments can easily accumulate over time. If we just move on and forget about what may have been, usually most coflicts will disappear because in many cases there was no real reason for a conflict and as time goes by most will realize.

I can't count (unfortunately) how many times I unintentionally hurt somebody else's feelings. However, I think there are often ways to not make it last or at least mitigate the undesired effects.

I eally hope that all appreciated members find a way to continue their valuable contribiutions to this site.

Greetings,

Kai
