OT...

Lots of old pix of old stock. Had a rather wide and varied group of vehicles over the years, including the two-wheeled variant. However, I have no pix of interest for my current cars -as you would see them in everyday traffic! A pair of Audi sedans and I recently bought a Range after being out of the product for ~5 years. I forgot how much I loved them! Perhaps I'll try to come up with some artsy-phartsy shots.

Mine can  be seen on this link.

I love the car. Bought it as the second keeper after Renault - obviously registered by them to try to push up the numbers but that didn't work and you see hardly any on the road. Mine is the 3.0L V6 Automatic.

I must be missing something !

I had intended staying in Aarhus for a night or two -- and had at the back of my mind that Soren's (in Mexico) son is studying there.

However the detour to Skagen ruled that out - so we stopped off for half a day, say the art gallery, listened to an open air concert in the beautiful summery sunshine of that week, and walked along a street fair and found some decent coffee (in fact the best we had in Denmark!)

I have a Volvo S80.  it is quite often regarded as an old man's car, but it has AWD, a V8 Yamaha engine and some 300+ hp.  So this old man enjoys it very much!

I've got a Bugatti veyron , a Lamborghini aventador and a gold plated London bus. All parked on top f each other in a rusting pile.

Have you seen the price of parking spaces lately ?

My old biology teacher had one of these in black with red accent strips inside the bumper moulds. Looked so cool and was definitely a cool car of the time. As Lee says the pop-up lights are the business!

This is my everyday car, not too exciting a Volvo XC70, the big diesel engine and awd makes it nice to drive in all weather.

My better half has another Volvo, S40 it is behind the garage (right side of picture) and in the garage Im thinking of trading in my boat for a 997s or 997 Turbo or a Ferrari 430.. We will see what happens in the future :)

I heard the previous owner used my Volvo to kill a deer. Needed a new fog light and a hood repainted.

Speaking of 5-Series, I spent almost every penny I had and more on this beastie in 2007.  I'd been working 12-14 hours a day, 6 days a week, for 2 years solid - and it was time the business said "thank you" to me..  LOL

It was an 535d M-Sport Individual, but I couldn't stop there - and gave it to Hartge to play with.  Not quite an M5, but as near as I could afford at the time!

I do like the 5-Series.  A perfect mix of size and agility - meaning you can seat four people in comfort as well as throw it around a bit if the mood takes you and there are no Police (or other cars) around...  Wink

Ok, I just bought a new car... And because I'm a geek, it's not a sexy car (in fact it is quite ugly...), I had no choice for the color...

But now, I'm driving 100% electric, and that's just the coolest thing possible : fast, powerful enough, and no noise at all... I'm in love with electric cars! Now my car uses the same power as my B&O stuff Big Smile

Brings back memories, I had a 1959 with the B 16 motor, the first car I bought when living in Sweden 1971, I paid 2.200 Skr.

Edit, same color as yours, the front grills was different as far as I remember.

I'll always remember my first experience of the freewheel on my 96. You get so used to engine/ gearbox braking on a conventional car it can rather catch you out the first time you drive a 96 or it's predecessor 2 stroke.

The original purpose of the freewheel was to prevent the two stroke engine from being starved of lubricants in an overrun situation. It was carried on in the V4's, where the most fun was to be had with clutchless gear changes.

Spot on Lee! The best color IMHO.

She is, afraid of a cold start I guess! Big Smile The M5 is crazy loud when cold started, a blend between a big rig and a stone crosser!
