Hello all

i now have my beolink gateway and I have added some products which are working fine.

I need to play with the iPad interface a little.

does anyone know what ports it responds on for NAT for the web interface and app

does anyone know what the webportal is on the main home screen as the app shows zones but the main page shows no zones configured.

what is the rs232 USB interface that we can use?

i have my bv6-26 controllable but have not managed the Bv3 yet.

my zones all show the global name and then the area name is there a way to avoid this?

cheers all

Welcome to the club!

Try 5222, I haven't tried myself, but that's how it's advertised using Bonjour.

It took a while for me to see anything appear in there. Now it shows only virtual buttons that I created, not the actual B&O devices.

I think any should work, what would you like to connect??

Which one is the VideoMaster?

I have created all my Zones under the Global area, rather than creating areas. Not sure if that helps.

Hi Phil

It's a great piece of kit isn't it.

My bv7 is the video master but when I was using capture it also found the link room TV set to option 6. Under resources I have audio master and video master and the link TV is listed as a number.

How can I create a virtual button, is this like cinema on / off?

i think I would like to connect my ilight source controller via rs232 and see if I can create some custom stings. I do hope bang and olufsen create a driver as it would give me much easier setup but I'm not sure they are big enough for them to do this.

so many possibilities

One of my TV didn't show up as well at first. I read I needed to force a Master Link synchronisation. Which worked, but I cannot find how to do that again!!!!

A virtual button appears in the app. Under Scene. You can name it as you want and it can be used to trigger macros. It is created in Resources > Virtual Resources.

Which light control system have you got?

Regarding the ports, I found this:

  • MLGW Web panel / App 80

  • MLGW Telnet 23

  • MLGW Protocol 9000

I would just try with port 80 first.

i added bv3 by pressing capture and turning the TV on to a link room source.

it seems to appear.

once added I can see the TV and sources but the TV does not respond to any commands, I must be doing something wrong?

Hi Phil

i have an Ilight 4x5 amp source controller with si2 serial interface,

http://www.ilight.co.uk/products-source-controllers-inductive.html

i have this with four zones in my living room running 3 lamps and 1 main light. I have the serial interface but never installed it

i actuality have the 5 button light switch that responds to the beo 4

I would love some lutron radio ra for some other rooms that mixed with hue.

cheers

The LINK simulates pressing LINK on the Beo4 remote. It calls the Master source, if you have a local source that hides it.

Ex. TV will call the local TV's tuner. LINK TV will call the Video Master's TV tuner.

Check your TV to make sure it's passing/re-routing the commands

You'll do this under the second level settings.

Red + Go when the options menu is present.

CONGRATS on the blgw. It's a fantastic tool.

The beovision 3 cannot pass LIGHT and CONTROL commands. But it should be able to be controlled by the app.

Congratulations on getting into home automation. Here's a tip that most people might not consider: replace the light in your shower with a Philips Hue bulb. It's a small luxury that is truly wonderful. You won't imagine how you ever showered in regular white light!

Hi All

Still nothing with the BV3-32 in Option 6.

it appears in the capture and has been added, the buttons appear in the app but the TV does not seem to respond to any commands apart from Standby All.

The volume or on commands dont work.

I am interested in the Phillips hue in certain places but i think I would like some Lutron where possible.

What's it's software version?

Also do the following test:

I suppose if you press the CD button directly on your BC9300, your VideoMaster should start. Then, If you change the volume on the BC9300, it should change the volume of the VideoMaster speakers, playing the CD.

If that's the case, turn everything off, disconnect your VideoMaster from the ML, then change set your BV3 as VideoMaster (V.option 2).

Press CD on the BeoSound 9300. Does the BV3 start playing the CD? Does the volume change if you use the volume buttons on the BS9300?

Hi there

If I press CD on the bro sound 4 it plays on its own speakers.

Does anyone knew if I can send light commands to the sI2 or if I am missing something. Anyone have any experience of this ?

I think I have cracked it. The SI2 interface stores commands and converts them when programmed i don't think it passes commands fro serial to canbus

Set the Beosound 4 to A.Opt 0.

Here's the reason, when the Audio Master is in Opt..0 and the Video Master is in Opt 2, then pressing CD on the Audio Master will start playing on the TV. Changing the sound on the Audio Master should change the sound on the Video Master. The commands that the BS uses to control the BV are the same as the MLGW. So this test would tell us if there's a problem with the BV.

Just a quick hint, older ML products was not designed to be operated from ML when in option 5 or 6 as prior to the gateway there really was no point

so many older BeoVisions will not take commands from gateway when they are in option 6, try putting your BV3 in option 2 and remove your BV7 from ML or change it to option 6 so you only have one video master on ML (the sw on BV7 was updated so if you are somewhat up to date you can operate the BV7 while it's in option 6 no problem) I can't remember if a sw update was ever made for the BV3 but check with your dealer they can look it up

next you'll have to redo the MLN assignmen on your gateway for the Two TV'st as the video master always gets address 00000000 on ML

now I'm sure you can operate your BV3

hope that helps

Hi there

thank you both, I am not that concerned really to be able to control my BV3 if needed i will replace it with something newer anyway that can pass light commands at least maybe a V1 so i get the on screen display.

I have noticed that now i have lost control over my BS4 and i had made no changes.
