Hello you all!

I recently purchased a Beogram 4002 type 5511 in a fair deal...

So... I/m new on this forum and hoping that you guys can help me out with the following...

There were some small errors on this beautiful machine like dragging of the arm over the record after pressing start, slow speed of the table in the beginning of a record and the big hum in the speakers. I managed to solve these issues and it works like a charm. Smile

But..... there's one issue that keeps it from functioning a 100%.

When I position the element manually in a position above the record and lower the element, the cardridge moves for about 0,5 inch to the left. So the element doesn't touch the record in the position where I place it...

This problem doesn't accur when I press start. Then the cardridge moves exactly to the beginning of the record and lowers exactly vertical.

Hope you guys have some good suggestions to get this iconic item in perfect shape!!

Thanks!!

Hi!

This sounds familiar, and it is just an incorrect adjustment of the shutter.

Adjust as per manual's instructions, but bear in mind that the adjustment is quite fiddly!
