leosgonewild:But you can't possibly judge the quality of the sound itself
It's the same as asking you to compare the shade of blue you saw yesterday to the shade you saw today!
Firstly, what is blue, and how do you measure it? If it can't be measured, then how do you compare different versions of blue and which is "better"? Is either shade of blue correct?? etc. etc.
Ban boring signatures!
BeoGreg:I was looking at my Beosound 3 at breakfast this morning and I got a flash. That's the colour combo I would love on a Beolit 15 : black rubber and leather with alu grill. That simple. ....Black/alu please !
benoit:This test brings some first impressions. Beolit 15 vs 12 and A2. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HPfHlL7YSCA
Simonbeo: leosgonewild: Really? Saying what speaker you think sound best based on a youtube-clip? That is a instant credibility-loss. I watched the clip , wearing headphones , and found it a useful means of telling how successful the "360 sound" is in comparison with the Beolit 12. Yes at first it does seem like seeing an advert for a tv on your tv and thinking the other set has a better picture!

I don't want to sound disparaging but please!!!
Aussie Michael: wonderfulelectric: Gotten 2 BeoPlay A2s one in black and one in green, they are good for portability and for the bathroom. But the cabinet resonance contributes greatly to the muffling of the sound. Not the clearest speakers. B&O should introduce portable speakers to the core Bang & Olufsen line. They fact that they are not doing it is actually a little silly. Small expensive things sell better than large expensive things. Great publicity too... But you need to have the goods to back it up Core range should go up and up to inform the cheerful BeoPlay range. I think people who can afford $5000 bags can afford $1000 portables to go into them. Huh? Wouldn't the average man on the street think why buy a VW when I can get the same in a Skoda for less? not arguing just thinking that's what perhaps the logic is for the placement of portable speakers. I said to someone what I paid for the A2 and they were horrified - they also thought the A2 was big lol. Portable speakers don't fill LV bags but a different feature set, party mode or integration, materials, and design could very well :-)

Chanel and Dolce& Gabbana sent $10000 headphones down the runway. You see kids walking around the streets in headphones that cost at least $200 these days. You think $1000 will be too out of reach for a bling portable?
PS. B&O should refresh the BeoLab3 like immediately and put them in Apple stores. What B&O seriously is market presence. Let the new generation see hey we have $5000 desktop speakers for your dorm room or new york/tokyo pied-de-terre. Take cue from Devialet's Phantom. Current Lab3s are a little harsh sounding in the highs and bass a little boomy for long term listening.

Street + Expensive + Bling. lol..

I don't care about Dolce & Gabana.
I think I like the Beolit 15, but will not buy it due to the colors it has. Gold, pink, baby blue, it may be fashionable but certainly not for me. I cannot imagine any grown-up man buying a pink speaker? I know Apple is also selling golden iPhones and iPads but I know nobody who actually bought one. And they at least give the option to buy regular white or grey. Maybe normal colors like white, grey, aluminium and black will be added to the Beolit 15 in the future, then I will become interested and probably buy one.
BeoVision 11-55, BeoLab 8000, BeoRemote One BT, AppleTV 4, 2x BeoPlay A2, BeoPlay A1

Watch out, Chris. If a feminist reads that statement you could be in trouble
"You think we can slap some oak on this thing?"
That could be/have been changed easily.
Just put the BeoLit 12 in Option 4!
Then it will not react to the remote, unless you place a 'Link' command before the command you want to use on the BeoLit 12.
Or you could have disabled the ir using Option 0

When I did, I discovered it is actually very elegant and it would perfectly blend with my wooden floor.. I suggest you should see it in flesh...

A huge portion of lifestyle electronic brands stakeholders are female. Why assume B&O targets male only? Birds of the same kind flock together please do not judge the whole world base on people around. Look at statistics. There's a reason why data collection is big business.
leosgonewild:I found the IR sensor on the 12 to be a PITA, because whenever I turned something off with my remote it would also turn of the 12. I wanted the 12 to be on all the time.
I found the IR useful to switch off the radio on the iPad using the beo4 .
Beo Century ,Beoplay V1, Beocenter 6, Ex-Beolit 12, Beotime , A8. Beolit 15 , Form 2i , Beolab 2000, Beoplay A3.Beosound 1
Beoboy68: The black edition is the first one that I would buy! In all other colors the Beolit 12 and 15 just look... ugly.btw: What's the exact technical difference between Beolit 12 and 15? Only the exchanged Airplay to Bluetooth and missing IR receiver?
The IR control of the Beolit 12 is a big bonus at home.
And did anybody had the chance to compare the 12 and 15 soundwise?
BeoBoy68:@ BeoGreg If it is for your daughter or wife take the pink ! If it is for you, I will take now Champagne or I will wait some months for a black one. BeoLit 12 édition blanche .... The Boom Boom Box
Got the same one on Saturday . There is a better box inside that box!
not quite as novel as the Beolit 12 packaging. Our children prefer the 15 in champagne to the 12 in blue.
Enjoy
BeoGreg:Here it is. Opening later...
Yes, but at their B&O anniversary event next week
Applause et félicitations for a fine buy

One question : is it possible to reduce the sound of the device when you switch it on/off ? It makes a loud sound when you switch it on or when you switch it off. Thanks.
Very good question . It's not just me then ?
What kind of sound? Like the A2 (a 'dee do' sound) or something very loud and annoying?
Ah, you know... A little B&O here, a little there
