If only Spotify would move the EQ to the actual play-screen, and not have it hidden all the way BACK in settings Sad

Agree. Deezer have a better implementation of that actually.

Is it worth an upgrade from a working(!) Beolit 12?

Can you compare it to the 12 at all?

My opinion, and MY opinion only:
-

BL12 narrow stereo vs BL 15 mono in all direction (BL15 wins)

-BL 15 has fuller bass (I like it better)

I am happy I upgraded, but I had issues with my BL12.

The BL15 will be wonderful to take outside during summer for wireless use. The BL12 needs a wire if it is not on wifi.

If you use your BL12 only at home, and the placement gives you a good bass, I would not recommend changing since you are not experiencing problems with it.

Bear in mind that I have been using it for one hour only.

I would say that the BL15 vs the A2 is like comparing my VW Golf VR6 with a Fiat Punto.

Well the A2 is about 4 times lees the volume, so I can forgive it that. Anyway I used to go out with a a girl in 98 who had a Punto, and she was awesomeCool Her dad had an Avant which made all her other "attributes" even more appealing.

Looking forward to trying out my 15Yes - thumbs upYes - thumbs upYes - thumbs up

My wife is mad at me because she fought our BOSE soundlink mini was just perfect. She's not far from the truth for the wee use we have.

So Beolit 12/15 I would say it's not worth the upgrade if upgrade there is soundwise (I don't have a 12 but it's a known good product soundwise).

The Beolit 15 and the Beoplay H8 are perfect companions.

Listen to the BL15, turn on the H8, music switches automatically while you leave the house with the same music without missing a beat.

Arrive home, power up the BL15, sound switches to BL15 from H8, and then you turn of the H8.

No need to touch your phone to switch output source Big Smile Is this what love feels like?

This is spectacular - why does B&O not advertise it? Clearly fits my usage pattern. :D *yay*

You can first play to your A2, then turn on the BL15, and it will switch to that one. Unfortunately you can't press the button on the A2 to switch back. The A2 needs to be turned of manually and back on to take over the stream, but when you turn it of it will pause the stream from the diphone, so you have to press play on your iPhone again. Sad

Maybe they can fix this with a software update? I will defo send a request to Beocare about this. If the A2 and BL15 would turn off after, say 3 minutes of no audio stream/paused stream, the 3 of them would be a killer combo!

The BeoLit 12 have got a more classical conception - 2 tweeters with 1 boomer.

It sounds clear, neutral and powerfull. It is perfect for room inside.

The BeoLit 15 have a "space sound" with 6 speakers oriented in 360 degrees.

The bass are more present and tweeters seems filtered. This design is ideal for outdoor party.

Personally, I keep my BeoLit 12. Yes - thumbs up

So BeoBoy do you feel that the BL12 is situated better then in say a book case with other items, where it is one directional, as opposed to a multi directional?

Id still like to try it out in person over the BL12 and let my ears do the talking :-)

Just a personnal taste. Smile

I hear lot of classical jazz and I prefer the BeoLit 12.

If it is positioned near a wall or it sounds phenomenal.

BeoLit 15 sounds better in a middle of a room or outside.

It seems that his design was done for electro pop music.

I can speak for the Beolit 12 quality. It is very good. The sound is full, and powerful. The battery life is consistent, and after more than 2 years, there have been no issues at all. It's a stellar little device with solid physical build. Just a shame about the cumbersome airplay function which I have seldom used.

I love the look of the Beolit 15, the new colours are a nice change. I'm particularly wooed by the golden champagne colour. Calm down peeps, I'm certain B&O will release other colours soon after it's been on the shelves. I might buy one further down the track once it's been out for a while, as it's nice to take music down to garage while working on the car or doing work outside the house.

I'm not surprised that their Tonmeister wasn't employed to assist in the development of the Beolit 15. I don't know why B&O would, it's merely a playful little boom box, not a pair of audiophile grade loudspeakers, and it's priced accordingly.

The IR will be missed, for those with an ipod sans bluetooth. I use an ipod classic connected via usb, so with that I can change volume and skip/ fast forward / rewind tracks with the Beo 4.
