Hi all

just got My first vintage b&o, a BeOmaster 1900.

The user manual indicates that there once was a support leg avaliable to increase the slope of the receiver when mounted on a high shelf.

I have so far not been able to find any picture of this part on the net, perhaps someone here have a clue?

best regards

Henrik

Hi Henrik and welcome to Beoworld,

I've not come across this 'leg' before so don't know - I also haven't got the user manual and it's not here on Beoworld.  I've looked under one of my BM1900's and the only thing I can see are the 'keyhole' slots for wall mounting.  It would be possible to construct a wedge shape piece of wood with a couple of screws that fit in the slots to raise the back by as much as you like.

I look forward to any other responses - hopefully with pictures.  Martin (Dillen) may have experience with this one?

Dave.

Henrik is right. It is mentioned in the user manual for BM2400 with drawing.

There is a set of 4 "legs" -2 mounted in the bottom, front -and two longer, mounted at the backside.

Unfortunately, that service manual from Beoworld will not open!  Where do they fasten to?

Hi all and thank you for the warm welcome Smile

Its correct that i got the information from the 2400 operators manual. I figured that it was the same for the 1900.

The manual states that the supporting leg in the back is inserted in one of the ventilation holes in the bottom plate.

The two front legs are somehow mounted next to the original feet.

i would be interesting to see how these legs would look to see if it would be possible to manufacture replicas of them.

OK, it's part number PN3152228.  I just founfd them on eBay.  I've just bought them and they look as though they would be easy to make via a 3D printer.

Blimey Dave that's a great find, I looked at the picture on ebay and I actually have three of the five pieces, I bought a beocord 1900 and it came with the user manual in a little envelope with the three smaller pieces, I had no idea what they were but kept them anyway and have just compared them to the pic on ebay

could they be for the beocord as well do you think

They won't fit the Beocord.
They rear ones grip into slots in the vertical grill, that the Beocord doesn't have and the Beocord motor is not particularly happy about
running at an angle.

There was also a kit for putting the Beomaster at the same height as the Beocord.

The square 'block' piece with what looks like a 'V' in it is just for attaching an aerial such as the rabbit ear type.  I may be able to do a joint project with another member to 3D print some of these.  I'll keep you posted.

The other thing about the Beocord is that unlike the 4500 system, the height of the Beocord did not match the Beomaster. I had the BM2400 as my first system and it looks very good with the legs as it allows you to see the display better whilst sitting.

So if you just put the rear foot on it gives you the sloped effect so you can mount on a high shelf but if you use all four feet it raises it to the same level as the Beocord so that they match correctly and look better, is that right?

Not quite.
The front feet are not very high, about 1 cm or so, the rear feet lifts 6-7 cm if I remember correctly.

It doesn't match the Beocord - different shape really - that is why they are not put next to each other in the brochures or the cabinets! The fact the Beocord 1900 had press buttons rather spoiled the effect anyway!

They still look damned good together and sound good as well, just been playing an old grey whistle test cassette, sounds wonderful
