Dear all-knowing forum
Can I connect a Beolab Transmitter to a Playmaker so I can enjoy music from my wired Beolab 3s in the living room, while also having music sent to a pair of wireless Beolab 17s in a bedroom?
thanks in advance
But the music will play on both sets of speakers - unless you manually disconnect one of them from the mains.

There is a tv - and there is a BV
You can't send sound from a Wireless 1 to the Playmaker - unless you connect a Receiver 1 to the line-in of it.
Which theoretically would work, but probably would be a bit complicated to manage in real life.
P.S. Could you (jonnyB/BillC) - please - explain a bit more in details, what you wan't to achieve?
You have a Playmaker, and want to send sound to two sets of speakers - one wired and one wireless ------- right???
Correct. Currently, I have a Playmaker (Mk II) wired to a pair of Beolab 3s in my living room. I had this idea that maybe I could add a Transmitter to the Playmaker so that I could tranmit music to a pair of wireless Beolabs in the bedroom. I want different music on each speakers because I saw mention of wireless multi room on the Beisound Moment product page, but I'm thinking that's just for the Moment.
It's going to end up sending the same music everywhere isn't it?

That's right!
Wired or wireless - the speakers are connected to the ame device....
....which of cource output the same through the PowerLink connections.
Multiroom via NL (NetworkLink) is a different thing - the Playmaker is a standlone device.
BillC:Hi Millemissen, I have the Beolab 18 and Beolab 3 hooked up to my HTPC for 4.1 audio. I wanted to know if I bought a Transmitter 1 to send the front audio to the Beolab 18 whether I can hook up the Beolab 3 to an existing Playmaker to receive the rear audio - that way I don't need to buy the receiver 1

You can't send the sound of the rear channels to the Playmaker wirelessly.
The Playmaker supports two wireless protocols: AirPlay and DLNA - neither can be used for what you want.
If you want to send sound to the Playmaker (from the rear-output of the HTPC), you will need a wired connection - and the connection from the PL of the Playmaker to the BeoLab 3 has to be wired too.
So why not just do as you do now?
