Afternoon all

couple of questions

my setup is BV7-40 main room, Overture(pentalabs) in dinning area, Lab2000 kitchen and bathroom and a BV7-32 in the bedroom

for reasons I wont bore you with I want to change the overture to a BM7000 ( just bought a black one!)

first question, I am correct in thinking I will need a ML/MCL converter and this will just plug in and work seamlessly.

did I dream then other link boxes will do the same job ?

second

at the moment to work the BV7-40 I press v-tape ( I think) but what ever I press the same button to work the BV7-32 upstairs, no "link" first or anything, BUT when I press CD nothing happens, yet pressing CD on the Lab2000 works fine, so its not wiring, its options I guess, what option should the BV7-32v be in ??

third...anyone got a nice black gram(LP) 7000 they don't want, one on ebay for £600 !

A beolink converter 1611 will work. Cheap on ebay. Using this with my black Beomsystem 7000. You need masterlink cable, aux cable and fully wired powerlink cable with it.

First question already answered - so second:

Seems your BV7-32 is in videomaster mode too. Try V.OPT 6 for BV7-32, V.OPT 2 for BV7-40 (main BV with main speakers/Pentas connected) and BM7000 A.OPT 0 (connected via audio aux link - BL converter - ML to BV7-40).

If your Pentas are connected to BM7000 set audio system to A.OPT 2 and BV7-40 to V.OPT 0.

If you prefer a separated audio/video system set the main room to A.OPT 1 and V.OPT 1 (requires speakers connected to BV too).

BTW: Set all Link systems (BL2000) to L.OPT 6.

Hope this helps

Third question: sorry, no. I have two black/alu BG7000 in nice condition, but this won`t help you...

"Try .... V.OPT 2 for BV7-40 (main BV with main speakers/Pentas connected) and BM7000 A.OPT 0 (connected via audio aux link - BL converter - ML to BV7-40)."

If you have that setup, you will probably want to think about upgrading the software in your BM7000 to version 1.3. Then it would be possible to use a Beolink 7000 in 2-way mode while the BM70000 is set to A.OPT 0.
