I was looking for a source for belts for the 7700.  It has a turntable and cassette deck.  Any good places to get these?  I had noted that Dillen was cited as a source but emails I directed to him have come back as undeliverable.  Any help appreciated.

I live in a part of the USA with very few B&O products but every now and then we stumble across one on Craigslist.  I did pick up a pair of S75s and S45s and the 7700.  The TT seems to work but I do not yet have any speaker cables to test them.  (A source for those would be appreciated too).  The speakers sound fine through a non-B&O system.  I am excited to get to work on restoring the 7700.  The cassette deck makes noises but doesn't move, so I suspect the belt there.  When I was a lad of 16, I purchased a used Beogram 3000, which I still use though vinyl no longer holds the main stage.  Rather, I have gone to a Sonos system and streaming through Deezer or music on my hard drive.  Many opportunities to explore new music in this fashion.

For many years there was a stereo shop that was a dealer for B&O.  Not sure when it closed but probably the early 80s.  Whenever B&O went from private dealers to store-owned shops, the business dropped the B&O products and lasted a while, but soon was out of business.  After that, the closest dealership was at least 200 miles away.  So I feel fortunate to make the finds I do.  Come to think of  it, it would probably be a good idea to replace the belt on the 3000.  It still has the original one.

I can't email anybody through this site either. That's the newest trend. Ain't it great?

I have the belts. Click on my name out to the left and start a conversation.
