Hi,
I did the first setup of the bl18 with the avant using the assisted speaker calibration. However in this first setting it seems the beolab 18 are somehow overruled by the center speaker of the tv. So I m playing/testing around with different speaker groups/roles but since I have little experience with this I was hoping someone could give me some pointers on how to go about this.
The setup is like this: tv in the middle 2.8 m from main listening position with a beolab 18 about 1,3 m on both sides of the tv. All on stand.
I have currently configured two speaker groups using assisted speaker calibration:
TV: BEOVISION AVANT - CENTRE (Centre, -5.0 dB) Beolab 18 (Left front, 0.0dB) Beolab 18 (right front-1.0 dB)
Group 2: Beolab 18 (left front 0.0 dB) Beolab 18 (right front, -1.0 dB)
One of the things I'm wondering is why the speaker level in group 2 is different for instance?
Hope someone can give me some advice on how I can improve this and what to pay attention to.
Many thanks in advance
With kind regards,
Joris
Hello,
I think I have some similar problem here. I've got a BV11 with a pair of BL17. I'm also using the assisted speaker calibration and am wondering how to setup the dB part for the loudspeakers- that is, BL17 for front left and front right and BV11's two front speakers.
All items are on stand and the sweet spot is 2.5m away from the BL17. Is there any rule at all on how to set the dB level for the BL17 ?
Thanks!

Menu>settings>sound> either speaker group or connect speakers. On my (last generation) BV11, I can use some assisted speaker mode where the set up of a new speaker/speaker group goes through generic steps. One of them allows to set the dB level of each speaker :)
