Yes, how future proof is the BS5/BM5 package? Is it worth considering for purchase today? (yes, I know I am a little bit slow since I just brought home a second hand BS9000...)

The reason for asking is: It is a Windows XP based concept where HW and SW support sooner or later will stop, both for the machine itself and for the streaming services.

What are your thoughts?

It is the most physically beautiful looking and sounding digital

music system.

As a now discontinued product the future is now in the hands of your fellow beoworlders!

See the thread on tactics and options to preserve the BM5 (and therefore the BS5)
