Hi,

the touchscreen on one of my Beo5s have started to behave strangely. It doesn't react to all areas on the screen when I touch and if I click on the right side, it can launch something on the left side.

What's strange is that it is not consistently the same soft buttons that do not respond, the issue sort of "jumps" around on the screen if you understand what I mean. Anyone had a similar problem and managed to fix it (it is clean on the outside)?
(Else, I guess I will just have to find another Beo5 to find a replacement screen.)

Had the same issue with a Beo6. Did several reset and reconfig, but it didn't help. My dealer replace it without any further comment.

When your Beo 5 shows this behaviour: Is there s.th. like a white rectangle around some of the soft buttons on the screen?

My Beo 5 does the same occasionaly since years... I put the remote away, hit the red power-button or the back-button and leave it alone for a moment. It always fixes itself. So, my educated guess: It's a software-/firmware-problem of the device.

But finding another Beo 5 for replacement is a good idea anyway. :)

Hi,

yep, it has actually behaved like this for the last year. Then I have cleaned it from "fingerprints" and it has been solved. Now it seems like the damage is permanent though...

Found a cheap non-working Beo5 which according to the owner have a power issue. Hope I can combine the two to one working remote.

Best regards,

Riven
