Hi,

I have just set up my Beosound 9000 to my system. The setup is as follows:
TV - Avant 55"

Speakers - 1x BL2, 2x BL8000 (rear), 2x BL5 (front), and the centre speakers for the Avant.Whenever I play music (radio or CD) through my Beosound 9000, the songs will 'skip' randomly. Whenever I play music (radio or CD) through my Beosound 9000, the songs will 'skip' randomly. These 'skips' are random throughout the track, and last 5-10 seconds. The song just cuts out and cuts back in at another point, almost as if the sound wasn't playing through the speakers.

The house is connected through ML, and the sound doesn't cut out on any of the ML connected speakers.

Thanks and kind regards,

Mason

If your radio has this problem its not a 9000 issue.

Make sure your master link  cable is properly plugged in for a start at the tv and 9000.

Hi Mason and welcome to Beoworld,

you have a BS9000 (which is a MasterLink product) and you have the Avant 55 (which is a NetworkLink product).

In order to connect these, you must have a NL/ML Converter in your setup.

Did you install and configure that yourself - if you already had it before connecting the 9000 to the setup, did you reconfigure it yourself?

Well spotted M, I was thinking of the original Avant.

Hi,

I'm so sorry that I didn't reply sooner - I was a little busy. As you said, we have a NL/ML converter in our setup. We did configure this ourselves, however B&O have checked all of our settings and they seem fine. We've also checked that everything is plugged in correctly.

Thanks,

Mason.

You wrote: 'I have just setup a...'.

Does that mean, that you (yourself) have added the BS9000, after the setup was done/checked by the B&O guys?

Seems to me that there are some settings in the converter not working well.
