Dear members,

just to make sure: which material are the surrounds of the Beolab 3 made of? Rubber? How can they - if at all - be cleaned?

Greetings,

Kai

Hi Kai,

I think they are either painted plastic or non-ferrous metal.  Certainly not rubber.  I just use a general furniture polish on a very soft, clean  cloth.

Dave.

Ah, sorry. My bad English. I didn't mean the alt but the three woofers with their membranes and surrounds.

Greetings,

Kai

OK, I understood 'surround' as the casing material.  My problem - not your English.

The outer flexible ring is obviously a rubber surround.  The equivalent of the 'cone' on the speaker, or the inner/centre circle feels like a kind of plastic on mine.

Again, I have used a soft cloth slightly moistened with dilute liquid detergent /water or the furniture polish.

Dave.
