I dont think so, at least not when a nice pair of speakers gets painted black look here

Collecting Vintage B&O is not a hobby, its a lifestyle.

Horses for courses isn't it Soren? There seem to be a few repainted vintage speakers on eBay at the moment. I suppose if the veneer is knackered or it suits their environment better then each to their own. Not my first choice either - I'd refinish them with new veneer.

That is very true Dave. There are quite a few which have been very poorly done in white and you can see the brush marks on the rear.

You do wonder why someone does this and if they are going to do it then surely do it properly!

I don't know why a flipper (who is clearly not a professional audio restorer) would even bother with refoaming the woofers.

Soren:  does the 3702 use the same tweeter as the P45 & M70?

eBay is full of recently poorly hand-painted furniture which is then described as 'Shabby Chic'. Probably just a way of hiding damaged veneers and holes filled with plaster, but why anyone buys this stuff is beyond me.
