Greetings Everyone,

My B&O system was installed by the dealer that I purchased it from, and in general I think that they did a pretty good job.  However, one complaint that I have is with the Beolab 7-6, which is mounted on the wall below the wall-mounted television screen.

Perhaps it is more accurate to say that the BL7-6 "floats" on the wall, because it rotates about the center bracket with only the slightest of touches.  It can take me 5 minutes to get it parallel with the bottom the screen, but even a careful dusting with a dry towel will cause it to shift by a centimeter or more.  I have asked my B&O rep about this but was told that the bracket was designed that way and there is nothing that can be done about it.

The result is that my BL 7-6 is almost always askew, and I frequently catch flack from my friends who stop by and ask questions like "For that kind of money, you would think that B&O would have thrown in a level!".  Not to mention that it really bothers me when I am watching a movie.

So I am hoping that one of you kind experts can answer a few questions for me.  First, is it really true that the mounting bracket is designed to allow the BL 7-6 to "float" on the wall, rather than be rigidly held in place?  If indeed it is true, then have any of you also found this to be annoying and if so, what have you done to fix the problem.

Thanks everyone!

Cheers,

TMQ

Wall mounting options from B&O and STB allow for firm fixing of the bracket to a wall with minimal movement, if any at all.

More likely the wrong fixings have been used or drill holes have been bored too wide for the fixings and are shifting.

Never heard that excuse anyway unless there is a new bracket I have never seen or heard about.
