Beovision 5's now worthless?

I got a used bv5 , a while back to replace my bv3 which I had since new without issue. I was all so called insane back then buy friends and family for spending that much on a TV (bv3)

But I still have the bv3 ... They don't have there tv's of that time nowBig Smile

As for the bv5 has been great, and will nodoubt last many years.... And the punch line....... I paid...£150 for it

Complete with 2 drawer stand

Not sure what the cost was new, but I think I got a barginBig Smile Nothing is worthless

Beovision 7 40 mk 5 ,beovision 6x3,   beosound 3000, beogram 3300 , 2 x lc2, 2 x beocom 1401, beocom 6000 x 2,  5 x beo4, 

, 4 x beolab 4's, form 2, h2, a2,a1 and a beolab 2 😀😀

The Beovision 5 is a beautiful TV, but early Plasma panals are not exactly famous for longevity. I think that might be one of the main reasons for the sudden drop in resale value, in addition to the points already made. If one came up for sale locally, I would be tempted though, especially if it were in red or black. Huh?

On the Plasma vs. LCD, the fact that LCD is utilitzed in so many industries from wristwatches to computers to TVs, etc. means that for every R&D dollar spent on perfecting plasma displays, probably 10 or 20 get spent on perfecting the LCD. My 2 cents.
