Hi All,
Apologies if this is already elsewhere in the forum but I couldn't find an answer. I'm buying a 7-32 without the central 7.x speaker to replace my ageing Avant, so want to connect it to the front BL8000s & rear BL6000s. I read somewhere but can't fid it again that you need to "fool" the 7-32 into thinking it has a central speaker to make the front & rears work, is this true?
If anyone can help with advice I'd be most grateful.
Best regards,
Rob
Hi Rob,
TV - MENU - OPTIONS - SOUND
think it is Speaker Type but should be fairly obvious.
You will lose a heck load of material hooking up with fronts as 8000's and rears as 6000's - you call tell the TV it has got whatever centre speaker you like.
Personally I would think about hooking the 6000's as your centre and your 8000's as fronts before bothering with the rears, might look odd but that is the price of buying the many screen/stand option offerings where the person has sold the centre speaker for to maximise price, which is fair enough
Hi KingOfSnake,
Many thanks. As my current TV (Avant) is in the corner of the room I've always had the central speaker cranked down on the settings and used the four speakers on setting 4, it seems to work well in my cottage living room. I was looking to do the same, but thought I'd read somewhere that the BV7 wouldn't drive front and rear speakers without having central ones first, but I may be mistaken.
Best,
As KoS says the menus are straight forward.
I've done a similar thing recently and am using a pair of Pentas as the centre speaker (but obviously positioned as front speakers) which seems to work quite well.
As ever with speaker choices play around with the options and go with what works best for you.
Let us know what you decide!

I should have added that the equivalent in your setup would be to use the 8000s as the centre, don't bother with fronts and use the 6000s as rears.
Hi guys, can you take a look at http://archivedforum2.beoworld.org/forums/t/1500.aspx
and see if there is any advice you can give on that setup ?
