Greetings,

I am having a problem down loading my iTunes into my BeoMaster5 via BioConnect. I follow all appropriate and recommended guides, and am able to drag and drop iTune files into either the black open mouth of BeoConnect or any of the 4 colors. The music is not coming up in my N.Music via the BeoSound5. Internet works perfect as N.Radio works. I notice that in Settings under System Service that the "Music Server" stays in WAITING mode. And I can not rebuild Music Server as that option is not high-lited. Any insights, thoughts, wisdoms? (I have not had success when reaching out to my local B&O dealer)

Thanks

Bumper

Hopefully your music doesn't have Apple DRM (digital rights management)...  this might cause the problem as the BM5 is unable to play iTunes files with the DRM.  I believe iTunes music files are now open, but older purchases typically have the DRM.

Some comments from my user experience:

Since the "rebuild server" command is locked, you might benefit from unplugging your beomaster from the mains and letting it restart from cold.  That's better than using the restart switch.

If you use a mac, you can use finder to see if the mac files are making it from itunes to bm-shares. I find it easier start up beoconnect and use two screens of finder and drag folders from one to the other.

On windows xp you were able to see all the files via the directory tree and drag from one to another, but have not done that in a long time, nor on newer windows versions.

Apple lossless files will appear in the directory, just won't play on beomaster.

Good luck.

An idea for those people who have purchased iTunes tracks under the old DRM scheme ... does doing an iTunes plus or iCloud Match allow you to replace the old DRM file with a better quality non-DRM file ?  Just a 3am Idea
