Hi there everybody!

Just wanted to renew the belts in my beocenter 7000 tapedeck.

On first sight that seems to be a pretty quick thing. Just loosen the three screws the mechanism is mounted to the center and then pull it out.

But what about the wires in the top right corner? Is there a trick to it? They are too short to lift and turn the tape and I do not want to damage any solder joint.

That´s what I mean:

bild hochladen

And another quick question:

I got here some brandnew belts for a beocord 9000. Do they fit into my Beocenter 7000?

Thanks for any advice!

Greetings from Germany,

Daniel

I suppose you have repaired it now, but if not.         You need to lift both the turntable and radio sections "Remember to remove platter first and protect stylus. You will then be able to pull out the two plugs "Be careful not to damage the cable clips. The tape deck can be removed completely, Remember to replace the black earth lead.

I don't know if any different belts would work.
