I'm looking for a pair of grill cloth frames (frets?) for Beovox/Beolab 3000 or 4000 speakers. Anyone have a pair? Leslie?

The grills on the pair of Beovox 3000's I have are in pretty good shape, I'd like to keep them intact, but where I'm thinking of mounting them white or even green would work much better. The dominant colors of the room are white and green.

Thanks?

Hi, there are covers available in german eBay. I can't insert the link right now, so just search for "Cover Beovox 3000", that should work. Hope it's what you're looking for with reasonable price and shipping costs.

Rolf

Thanks! I can't seem to get a search to work though, so if you can post a link later I would be grateful!

The link above is working well, I hope it will work for you now the same. But I wonder why your search was hindered?

Hence, reviewing the offer, I can see that they ship only within Europe. Being aware now that you´re from sunny Florida, if you´re interested in buying let me know if I may support you.

Regards,

Rolf

I had loaded a translated page of Ebay.de, and it was a messed up page so I couldn't search. Went to the "real" page and managed to find it. Yes, I'm in sunny Florida USA, for another couple of months before I move to sunny Georgia, land of peaches and pecans. And of course peanuts. You can always tell when you get to Georgia on the highway from Florida because all the signs change from "come buy my oranges" to "come buy my pecans and peaches."

From what I can tell with my rusty German and translation s/w he says it ships to Europe. If either of you two could assist me in communications I'd appreciate it. I'm stretched pretty thin with work and other issues and haven't had as much time for online stuff, something about building a house, working, and moving all at the same time. Surprise

So, if the seller speaks English (yes, I know we're awfully provincial here, but it's been 35 yrs since high school German), and/or you can find his email or advise I'd appreciate it.

I guess I need to create an account on the German ebay as well.

@Leslie: I recommend that you take action, knowing the seller in person. If not possible, let me know, please, than I will step in.

Where have you been? I have been to Florida, and it was great, moving from west to east cost, also visiting the keys and the glades.

Jeff:

I can log into eBay US with my account. I have been buying in Italy with my account, only logging in, not creating a new one.

His emailadress and telephonenumber is mentioned in the ad.

Most of the Dutch people (he's not German) speaks English and German! Just give it a try first, I'm sure you will have succes!

I had a break at work during lunch, found out I can log into German eBay and eBay will translate the page. Ain't technology wonderful?Cool

Anyway, I sent a question to the seller about shipping to the US so we'll see what he says.

Thanks to you both for assistance and pointing out the eBay ad!

Is this a great forum or what?

Rolf, glad you enjoyed Florida. I was born here, in Tampa, and grew up in Tampa, Ramstein Germany (when I was 3-4 yrs old my father was stationed there in the Air Force), Panama CIty (FL), and Orlando. I've been here in O town since '69. Used to do a lot of scuba diving, so hit the lower east coast off Boynton Beach and West Palm Beach, and of course the Keys, very often back then. Also hit the springs area up in the panhandle, High Springs, Branford, etc. to do cave diving when the weather sucked and the oceans were stormy and rough.

I'm kind of over Orlando now though, it's degenerated into a tourist hellhole, crowded, poorly laid out, bad traffic, and all the woes that accompany that. All so people can go see a concrete and plastic amusement park, I have never understood the Disney allure. With all this natural beauty here in Florida why people line up for Disney puzzles me, but to each their own I guess.

LOL! When I´ve been there, our first station has been Tampa! It was in 1989, October, I guess, and I was part of a german Basketball team, preparing for ongoing season. We had a two weeks trip throughout the states behind us and played our last game vs. USF (awful loss for me and my team, I remember so far Embarrassed).

I´ve been several times to Ramstein, stopping by to enjoy some real American food, liking the coffee shops and restaurants at the base (yes, not all germans do think that there is no real good food in the US or it´s remote areas Smile).

At the moment, living closely by (in US terms of distances), being located in between Karlsruhe and Heidelberg, also a really nice, usually warm and natural region at the very north of the black forest, in close neighbourhood to France.

Being born in Ulm, I had lots of contacts with the army people, because as you probably might know, until the mid 90´s, I guess,  part of the US nuclear forces have been stationed in this area. We always enjoyed the german-american parties and had a lot of guys playing in our teams. Sadly, that is gone now, because the troops are no longer there, a real loss to the city and the wider area.

Well, as a child, I enjoyed Disneyland as well, mostly because I could see and talk to the "real" characters of the tales, so, I guess mainly the families bringing the business and traffic in. Also, I know adults, enjoying the roller coaster riding, I guess that makes them maybe big children Stick out tongue.

Rolf
