My Beocenter  and Beovox C75 T6323 S/n 2341017  speakers need repairs.

Rubber front surround suspension  on all speakers has  completly disintegrated & condition of the voice coil is unknown.

My Beocenter has been packed in storage for at least 7 years, and did not work for about 5 years before that. I  was living in Papua New Guinea when I bought and used the Beocenter & that's undoubtedly why the speaker surround has disintegrated.

If I bring the Beocenter  & speakers to the factory would they re-condition them for me?

Thank you

Hi Lorraine,

welcome to Beoworld.

You can refoam/replace the rubber surrounds of the C75's yourself.  It's relatively easy and will give you great satisfaction of doing it yourself.  There are numerous threads here on Beoworld from people who have done it themselves (me included).  You just need to be clean and patient.  It's not technically difficult.  YouTube also has tutorials.

For the BC7002, it will most likely need a full overhaul including cleaning, lubrication, probably new electolytic capacitors, new turntable belt and tape player belts etc.  The B&O factory do not support the refurbishment of old equipment unfortunately.  You may be able to find a local technician who could help or possibly someone here can point you in the right direction due to your location.

Dave.
